Digerati |dijəˈrätē|

A user on the Accidental Creative website wrote the following in a comment on the topic of hands-on, pencil & paper writing versus writing on the computer.

He wrote: "…The corralling of an idea from concept to concrete is different in the age of the digerati and it can be difficult to maintain a sense of connection to our work."

I'd never heard this word or seen it used before. Nifty.

Digerati |dijəˈrätē|
plural noun
people with expertise or professional involvement in information technology.
ORIGIN 1990s: blend of digital and literati .

(New Oxford American Dictionary)

iPad

Another beautiful piece of art/equipment from Steve Jobs.

At first, I was surprised about there not being a camera. But, in the end, I don't think it's really meant to or that it would be good for video chat or taking pictures at all. It's mean to be like a magazine, a journal, a pad of paper that we pick up and use. It's not trying to be a MacBook. It's not trying to be a phone.

My one main point of frustration is that iPod Touch, iPhone, and now iPad STILL do not read Flash websites! I hope they change this SOON!

Whittier Weathers Wonderful Storm

We have had beautiful and strong stormy weather this week in Whittier! Where art is concerned, rain is of the best! Everything about a storm is beautiful! The sights- the colors of the sky, the lightning flashes, the colors of trees, plants, the dirt, and the intense saturation! The sounds - the rhythms of the rain drops on all different surfaces, the sound of the tree leaves and branches in the wind, the pounding thunder. The smell. The textures. EVERYTHING about His rain art is amazing! And the aesthetic qualities are not even the best part! His art is LIFE! His art saves us! It gives us what we literally need in this physical realm, and is a powerful and most effective reminder of what we need spiritually from Him. What a gracious and glorious artist He is!
