Box Lamp Piece Coming Soon!
I found this box lamp at Savers Thrift Department Store - One of my favorite places to shop. The light works, but it was missing two sides.
So, I cut down some plexiglas I have to slide in.
Next step, the art! This should be a fun project. I won't know what it will look like until I put the art in, and turn on the light. I'll be sure to share the final product:)

Hazel Mandujano Artworks
I took these shots of Hazel Mandujano's work at The Tree House Soft Opening in San Pedro on July 1st. I thought they were really nifty! Fun to explore and photograph. The shadows created by the blocks which were presented in a loose grid individually made for good photo compositions. I did desaturate the wall in these images. It had come out a mix of yellow and orangeish tones that took away from the colorful pieces. Cool work Hazel! Keep creating! - Want

Spoke(n) Art Ride
I participated in this month's "Spoke(n) Art Ride" Saturday night. It was a great night! A good way to get exercise, enjoy the sunset, and catch some gallery work around town.
Check out this link for more info on the ride:"Bike Oven: Spoke(n) Art Ride"

BillHarveyMusic.com
www.BillHarveyMusic.com
Came across this site today by accident. It's very creative, fun and I know took a lot of tedious work. And, his music is not bad:) I recommend checking it out. It reminded me that a site or design work doesn't have to be the sharpest or shinyest or most modern-looking to be engaging and stimulating. Good luck Bill Harvey! Keep doin your thing!

Candle Idea
I picked this cool flower on a walk the other day and had an idea for a candle/center piece. So, when I got home I made it and shot it. Fun little piece.

Ron Artest 2010 Finals Game 7 Press Conference
This is so much more sincere and fun to watch than watching self-absorbed cats like Kobe feign humility while slobbering all over themselves, exuding arrogance and betraying the fact that they're grossly conceited. Glad for Ron and all the Lakers for their hard work and thanks for bringing LA fans another great victory! And oh so sweet that it comes over the Celtics. In Pico there was a room full of wonderful people eating great food, sharing great fellowship, and yelling and screamin while the Lakers came back to win game seven! I wished I was there.

Biz Cards Pack
Here is the latest business card batch I did for a friend. First time packaging the cards this way. I liked the way it came out and will probably use this form of packaging in the future.
I want to take a second to recommend a product that I have found to be completely indispensable. I have picked them up at the Container Store so far. But, I'm sure you can find them at other stores also. They are "Acid Free and Archival Quality Bags/Envelopes" as the package reads. They come in a few sizes and can be used as is, or as you see with this biz card pack, they can be used as a sort of wrapping paper. I have used these to finalize, spiff up and package many a project. The nice, clean surface they give is just the right touch. Here is a picture of the product I found online. If I think of it the next time I'm doing a product photo shoot, I'll shoot the actual package I bought from the Container Store.

Impulse Painting - Knight Door
Got up with the urge to paint on a bigger scale than I usually do. Most of my recent work has been smaller scale on bottles, smaller objects, etc. And since we've been playing chess a lot around here, this is what I ended up painting. Felt great to stretch my arms! :) And a nice surprise for the owner of the room:)
